The Premier Soccer League have finally confirmed the prize money for the upcoming 2024/25 Betway Premiership during Wednesday’s special announcement.
PSL chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza had announced the new multi-year partnership with betway, claiming it would bring R900 million to SA’s top flight.
On Wednesday, Khoza called a special meeting to wrap up important announcements before the elections for his new term, with Khoza the only person standing for the chairman position.
His first point of order was to announce that the winner of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership will receive R20 million.
“The winner of the Betway Premiership will receive R20 million, number one spot,” Dr Khoza stated.
There was no further breakdown of the prize money for the rest of the teams.
“Watch this space, in a couple of weeks the rest of the prize breakdown will be announced. Number two, number three,” Khoza added.
