Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has stated that Amakhosi are aiming to put their Soweto Derby defeat to Orlando Pirates behind them when facing Swallows in another Soweto Derby on Sunday.
Chiefs lost 1-0 to Pirates before the international break, which was their fourth defeat in five games across all competitions.
On Sunday, they face a Swallows side, who are brimming confidence after going five leagues without a defeat.
With both sides’ entering the game in contrasting form, Chiefs are keen to claim bragging rights in Soweto and not make it back-to-back derby defeats.
“Our preparations have been going well,” Chivaviro told the club’s media team.
”I think the break did us good, allowing us to regroup after our last game and now we just want to get out there and put it behind us.
“We want to bring our positive energy into the game against Swallows this weekend. Most importantly, we want to be victorious at the end of the day.”
Chivaviro has featured 10 times since joining Chiefs, scoring one goal so far.
