Richards Bay and Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership encounter at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The Natal Richboyz welcome the defending DStv Premiership champions in what promises to be a cracking game.
The KwaZulu-Natal based side find themselves amongst the teams challenging for the league title after their impressive start of the campaign.
Simo Dladla and Vasili Manousakis’ lads have been impressive having last lost a league match against SuperSport United and that was in August 2022. The third-placed team will look to close the gap when they face the log leaders this evening, sitting on 26 points, eight behind Downs.
Meanwhile, Masandawana are on an eight-match winning streak. Downs are sitting pretty on top of the table and they are yet to concede a goal since Rulani Mokwena took over as the head coach of the club.
The last time the two sides battled each other was in 2021 when Sundowns hammered the then National First Division side 4-0 in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals.
Downs shot stopper Ronwen Williams and Bay goalkeeper Jamal Salim are definitely among the players to watch, having both kept 10 clean sheets this season so far.
