South African duo Liam de Kock and Isa Mangera have seen their assessments with C.F. Estrela da Amadora extended after impressing their technical team.
De Kock, 22, the central defender of Stellenbosch departed South Africa with the La Masia 18-year-old left-back Mangera earlier this month with the aim of landing moves abroad.
“The players are currently being assessed by Estrela Amadora who ply their trade in the Portuguese top-flight,” Mikhail Robertson, the player’s agent confirmed from Lisbon.
“All indications are both have initially caught the eye with the club requesting both extend their assessment period for the club’s top-brass to assess them further.”
Mangera made his professional debut for the National First Division side this season, while de Dock spent time on loan at the club, and also made his senior debut for Stellenbosch this season.
The towering centre-back captained Stellies to the DStv Diski Challenge title and Premier League NXT Gen honour during his time with the reserve team.
