Seema Explains Lepasa, Zwane & Sekgota Absence

Siwelele FC head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has explained the absence of the trio of Zakehele Lepasa, Samkelo Zwane and Kgaogelo Sekgota from his side’s draw with Orlando Pirates.

The trio were visible absentees from the matchday squad when their side held title chasing Pirates to a 1-1 draw at the Orlando Amstel Arena.

They also narrowed the gap between themselves and the top eight to two points after 20 matches.

Seema said the trio is not injured and people should expect to see changes often as he’ll rotate players to maintain some freshness in this squad.

“We have a lot of players and you are going to see a lot of changes every now and then,” said Seema.

“Just like you said it’s a marathon and you’ll see they are in sometimes, you’ll be on bench or you’ll be in and then go out because we are all training. And we are trying to keep the team as fresh as possible.

“They are still there, the only guy that is injured was Lungu Ghampani. He was in the squad, but he failed a late fitness test. But the rest of them we are just trying to give game-time.

“When was the last time you saw Wayde Lakay? They are there; we are managing the squad. We still have 10 games to go. We’ll fight.”

Lepasa has only made two appearances since joining the club from Pirates, and Zwane, who is on loan from Kaizer Chiefs, featured seven times, while Sekgota was absent for the first time since his move to Siwelele.
