Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has given a verdict on newcomers Magesi FC saying they are a good side with direction despite beating them 1-0 in the league opener in Polokwane.
The Limpopo derby on Wednesday evening was a historic moment for Dikwena tṧa meetsi who played their first ever Premier division match after gaining automatic promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season. There were six players in Clinton Larsen’s side who also made a debut in topflight football, mixed with those who have been at this stage before though they were unable to come away with the three points.
Seema, who is a protégé of Larsen, rated the Moletjie-based side, saying they will be able to get results because of how clear they are in their style of play.
“That was a good team there because you can see my voice is also gone,” Seema told reporters after the game.
“They could have also scored. They had their chances and maybe you are looking at them and saying this is a new team and this is their first game, but it will come. You can see the shape is there, they are clear on how they want to play.
“It’s not a team that is enjoying possession. They are very direct, and they go wide and when they bring those balls, they’ve got people that can attack them,” Seema added
