Seema Makes AmaZulu Claim Ahead Of Tricky Clash

Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema is expecting a tough match against AmaZulu ahead of this evening’s Betway Premiership meeting at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Both sides are coming from draws in their opening fixtures of the year against Polokwane City and Golden Arrows respectively. Babina Noko currently sits in fourth position on the Betway Premiership table with 17 points from 10 matches while Usuthu are 12th with 13 points from 11 outings.

In the sides’ past seven meetings, AmaZulu has won four times, while Sekhukhune claimed one victory and the two other games ending in draws. Seema is aware of the trouble his opponents have given his side and adds that they have been playing well this season so far and unlucky with results. The coach says the aim is to return from KwaZulu-Natal not empty handed.

“If you can ask me how many points, we want at AmaZulu I’ll tell you three straight away but a point we’ll take it,” said Seema.

“AmaZulu is playing well. It’s a team that has improved a lot and you can also see that the last time when we started, they were at the bottom of the log. If you check now where they are and the way they play I think [against Arrows] they were just unlucky not to have one or two goals.

“So, we are expecting a very difficult game against AmaZulu, but we are not surprised because I told you that you can see with just the first set of games in 2025, it’s going to be very difficult.

“AmaZulu is also one of the teams that is always giving us problems and it will be nice to have one over them. We are going there to fight and hopefully we can get maximum points.

“That is what we are looking for but if not, we will take a point and build on it going forward.”
