Seema On Tiwani Wonder-Goal

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has applauded Asekho Tiwani’s goal against Cape Town Spurs in the league at the Peter Mokaba stadium.

With the match deadlocked at 0-0 the 18-year-old saw Spurs goalkeeper off his line and launched the shot from the halfway line with the ball going over Zama Dlamini’s head to break the deadlock, six minutes into the second half of the match.

That was the only goal of the game which ensured three points for Ba bina Noko who remained in the top four with 39 points from 24 matches.

This was Tiwani’s eighth league match having made his full first team debut from Sekhukhune’s development ranks this season. The player made the bench once under Kaitano Tembo but was sent back to the development side due to his age at the time.

Seema says that’s what taking shots is about.

“I’m happy about Tiwani with his first goal in the Premier League”, said Seema after the match.

“Whether it was intentional or not, if you don’t shoot you won’t score.

“The fact that it is in the back of the net, it shows that there was a shot that was a taken towards the goal.

“So yeah, I’m happy for him and the rest of the guys”.
