September was promoted to the head coach and Mabhuti Khenyeza was roped in as assistant coach. Morgan Mammila made his return to the club as the Sporting Director.
The former SuperSport United defender wrestled his way and managed to secure the status for the club and they still in contention for the top eight finish.
After the 3-0 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns which was their third consecutive defeat, September explained that his contract will end at the end of the season but he has a two year option and by the look of things he will stay at Chippa Utd for beyond this season even though they haven’t discussed anything with chairman Chippa Mpengesi.
“We haven’t started discussions yet, but my contract ends now but I’ve got a two-year option. The signs of staying are there,” September said.
“We haven’t really sat and discussed the contract and stuff.”
