Chippa United head coach Thabo September has praised the effect played by Siphelo Baloni but bemoaned the absence of midfielder Andile Jali due to recurring injuries.
The Chilli Boys have now gone five matches without a win after their crushing 3-0 defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday.
The Eastern Cape-based side has had a good season, where they managed to collect points early and avoided playoffs, and are currently still within a fighting chance to finish in the top half of the table.
Baloni, who is on loan at Chippa from Orlando Pirates, received high praise from September, with the former SuperSport United defender stating that he played a vital role in helping them to be where they are today.
“He did well for us, unlucky for him that he got injured, but the time that he was fit, he did well for the club,” he told the media.

“Because of the players like him that we managed to get out of the situation with four, five games to go, and not talk really about the relegation, so he helped us a lot.
“Jali is on and off injury, he is part of the group.”
