Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reserved special praise for Mamelodi Sundowns’ Brazilian star Lucas Ribeiro Costa after being asked whether he should be named Footballer of the Season.
The Betway Premiership runaway leaders beat Chiefs 1-0 on Saturday, with Ribeiro, the league’s top goalscorer, grabbing the only goal.
The Brazilian is the frontrunner for this campaign’s player of the season, and Nabi when asked about the Brazilian, said that any coach would love to have a player in his side with Ribeiro’s qualities.
“It’s a player that every coach would dream to have in his team,” Nabi told the media when asked whether it’s too early to call the Brazilian the Footballer of the Season.
“Because he’s a difference maker.
