Former Baroka midfielder Tshepo ‘Skhwama’ Matete has been spotted in training with Chippa United.
Matete was recently with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
According to a source, the 31-year-old is now training with the Chilli Boys, but it is not clear yet whether he will sign a contract with the Eastern Cape-based side.
The former Township Rollers player is known for his skills and technique in the football world.
He started training with the team when they returned to training. Matete wants to revive his career after he had a promising one before vanishing to the second division of South African football.
Morgan Mammila’s side are sitting sixth on the log after a great run when the coach took over from Daine Klate.
They will resume their league campaign away at Stellenbosch on 30 December when local football continues after the World Cup break.
