Young defender Lyema Dopolo will leave SuperSport United at the end of June after eight years at the club.
Dopolo joined SuperSport United at the age of 14 when he was scouted by the Tshwane giants. The Eastern Cape born represented South Africa junior internationals with flying colours after winning U17 COSAFA Cup in 2020, three years later he won DStv Diski Challenge title with Matsatsantsa aPitori.
The 21-year-old gained promotion to the senior team under the leadership of Gavin Hunt and played a major role in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign making five appearances.
Information received by this publication is that Dopolo will be free agent at the end of June after his contract was not renewed by Matsatsantsa.
With his physicality and good ball anticipation, he is expected not to struggle in finding a new home ahead of the new season.
