Stellenbosch FC have officially confirmed that Devin Titus has signed a new long-term contract extension, putting an end to recent speculation regarding his potential departure from the club.
His previous contract was set to expire at the end of the current season and had been heavily linked with an exit. Reports suggested interest from Egyptian side Al Masry as well as South Africa’s ‘Big Three’ clubs.
“Stellenbosch FC is pleased to confirm that Devin Titus has signed a new long-term contract with the Club,” the club announced via a statement.
“Titus, who has made more than 150 appearances for Stellenbosch, is set to extend his stay in the Cape Winelands after putting pen to paper on a contract extension earlier this week.”
Titus expressed his excitement about extending his tenure, noting that the Winelands club provided the platform he needed to fulfill his lifelong ambitions.
“Stellenbosch FC is the Club that gave me an opportunity to follow my dream of becoming a professional footballer, so I’m very happy to have signed a new contract here,” Titus said.
“I’m incredibly grateful to the Club and all the coaches, staff, and players who have given me this platform to showcase my talent, and hopefully, there is even more to come in the next few years.”
