Stellenbosch FC have announced contract extensions for three midfield players – Jayden Adams, Devin Titus and Kyle Jurgens.
Adams and Titus came through the club’s youth development and have been important players since making their senior debuts.
Adams, who has played 99 games for the club, made his debut in the 2019/20 season, while Titus got his first cap in the 2020/21 season.
The 22-year-old Titus has made 57 appearances in all competitions and scored 10 goals.
The Cape Winelands side confirmed that Adams and Titus signed long-term contracts with the Maroons.
“Firstly, I want to thank the coaches and management because without their support this wouldn’t have happened,” Titus told Stellenbosch FC media.
“I have been with Stellenbosch FC since the beginning of my career with the club’s DDC team so it’s an exciting prospect for me to extend my stay, and with this new deal, I hope to be here for a long time.
“I’m very excited for the future and I hope that I will be able to continue helping the team compete for silverware in the coming seasons.”
It’s a very special feeling for me to extend my contract with Stellenbosch FC,” Adams said.
“I started my career here in Stellenbosch so I’m very happy that I will be here for even longer, and hopeful that I will win trophies with the club in the near future.”
Jurgens was also confirmed to have signed a long-term contract.
The former Ubuntu academy player has been a star for Stellies’ Diski team and made his first-team debut in February this year against Moroka Swallows in the Nedbank Cup. He came in from the bench to replace captain Deano Van Rooyen.
