Mamelodi Sundowns will host Kaizer Chiefs in a mid-week fixture at Loftus Versfeld in their opening five Betway Premiership fixtures.
The reigning champions will be chasing their ninth consecutive league title and they open up their campaign with Chippa United at Buffalo Stadium – who are in a new dawn under former Sundowns assistant coach Snethemba Badela.
Miguel Cardoso’s side who will be having a shorter pre-season than usual, due to their particpation in the FIFA Club World Cup will then host AmaZulu at Loftus Versfeld, before away trips to Magesi and Stellenbosch between the clash against Amakhosi.
Sundowns beat the Soweto giants, home and away in the league last season but were left stunned in Tshwane in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals, where Chiefs went on to end their decade-long trophy drought in the Soweto Derby – by downing Orlando Pirates.
