SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has bemoaned the loss of talent at his disposal after nine of his former players featured for Mamelodi Sundowns against Orlando Pirates at the weekend.
The four-time league winning coach reckons that Matsatsantsa would most probably be very far with their football had they kept hold of majority of their talent which was sold.
The Tshwane giants have struggled for form this term and currently sit in 12th position just six points above the relegation zone having won just four matches in 17 outings.
Tashreeq Morris was recently sold to Kaizer Chiefs despite joining the club just three months ago and talented defender Ime Okon is now the latest player linked with an exit with overseas interest seemingly growing for the youngster.
The former Bidvest Wits mentor has not been shy in being vocal about where his side could have been if he had the players his side sold to Sundowns.
“Yesterday I watched that game against Pirates there was nine of our players,” said Hunt.

“It was a good game to watch. Imagine we had those nine where we would be.
“The horse could have trotted over the line, anyway it’s football.”
Hunt’s charges wasted multiple chances in their Betway Premiership clash against Sekhukhune United on Sunday and had to settle for a share of the spoils thanks to Samir Nurkovic’s last gasp goal as the tie ended 1-1.
