Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s blockbuster DStv Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Sundowns resume the DStv Premiership with a clash with their arch rivals Pirates. Downs are unbeaten in the league since September 2022 when they lost to SuperSport United.
They have a chance to extend their lead on top of the log after SuperSport United and Stellenbosch played to a 1-1 draw last night.
Pirates come to this match aiming to end a streak of two losses in row. They lost to SuperSport United and Stellenbosch in December before the AFCON break.
The Buccaneers are 13 points behind Downs and aim to cut the gap to 10 points this evening.
If they are to do it, they will have to do it without Thembinkosi Lorch who’s has recently joined Downs.
In their last five direct clashes Sundowns have won four and Pirates only won one.
