The Bad Moment Is Gonna Pass – Kaze

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze is optimistic that their run of defeats will eventually pass as they continue to seek for redemption.

The Glamour Boys succumbed to their fourth league defeat of the season after going down 1-0 to Richards Bay at uMhlathuze Sports Complex on Tuesday night.

Thulani Gumede netted the solitary goal in the 69th minute as the Natal Rich Boyz handed Amakhosi their first league defeat on the road.

Kaze has thus urged his troops to remain a unit and work towards turning the corner.

“Of course, it’s true that we had a possession in the first half, but I would say it was a sterile possession without breaking lines,” he said in his post-match interview on SuperSport TV.

“Without threatening the opponent box. I think probably we had too much players that are fit ballers and not enough runners behind the defensive line.

“We tried to correct that in the second half with the introduction of [Glody] Lilepo and someone like [Mduduzi] Shabalala and [Luke] Baartman as well.

“But unfortunately, we concede a goal.

“I believe that it’s gonna pass. The moment is gonna pass.

“It’s a very bad moment but we need to keep together.

“We need to stay together and work very hard.”

Amakhosi are next in action at home against Durban City on Sunday, 15 March.
