Timm – Whatever Is Meant To Be Will Be

Marumo Gallants midfielder Miguel Timm’s contract may be expiring at the end of the season, but that won’t affect his commitment to the team.

Timm has been one of the outstanding players for Gallants this season, who are currently tenth in the DStv Premiership, and also still alive in the Nedbank Cup where they will face Baroka in the quarter-finals.

In an exclusive interview with iDiski Times journalist Lethabo Kganyago, Timm said his contract expires at the end of the season, and he hasn’t yet had conversations about renewing it.

“I’m an open person I have nothing to hide,” Timm told iDiski Times

“My contract is still at the moment expiring at the end of the season.

“I think because of the amount of games and the congested fixtures there hasn’t been time. I haven’t sat down with the chairman or the GM of the club.

“I think the technical team know the situation but like I say I’m professional enough to continue with my work and put that aside until the time is right.

“Whatever is meant to be will be but until the end of my contract, I will continue to give my all for the club, continue working with my teammates to move this club to a better light and to make it more respected in the country.”

Has there been any interest from other clubs?

“Yes, there has been one in particular, I’m not going to mention names but there was no conclusion to that,” Timm added.

“I don’t think that opportunity is closed but there has been no communication for a few months now.

“So that’s where we are at with that and besides that I’ve just been concentrating on finishing strongly with Marumo Gallants.”
