Tinkler’s tenure at Cape Town City ended after three seasons, highlighted by the team’s inaugural CAF Champions League foray, though it was short-lived, ending in the preliminary stages. A spate of poor results led to Tinkler’s exit before the turn of the year, paving the way for Muhsin Ertugral’s appointment as interim head coach.
This publication has established that Sekhukhune convened a meeting yesterday to redefine their strategy, prompted by a four-match winless streak in the league.
Tinkler’s impending arrival is set to fortify Babina Noko’s technical team. Kaitano Tembo and Paulos Masehe currently serve as assistant coaches under Seema. Nevertheless, the specifics of Tinkler’s role remain uncertain, with speculation surrounding whether he will work alongside Seema or potentially succeed him.

United are currently sitting in fifth place in the Betway Premiership and they are in the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.
Their game in the Round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup has been postponed as it remains unclear who they will face between Milford FC and Royal AM.
