Sekhukhune United head coach Eric Tinkler has labelled Polokwane City’s football ‘very ugly’ after they handed him a first league defeat of the season.
Babina Noko’s unbeaten run came to an end after a 1-0 loss against rivals Rise and Shine at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium which saw them drop to second place as Mamelodi Sundowns took advantage of that by winning 4-1 against Richards Bay.
Speaking on SuperSport TV, Tinkler identified two factors that contributed to their loss, naming them as tight schedule after playing two games in three days and also stated that Phuthi Mohafe’s side is playing ugly football and it’s not pleasing to the eye.
“I only played two games [in three days] so what can I fix you know when games are this tight to each other it’s difficult so what you can do is video analysis,” he said.
“So now we will obviously go back we have a week until our next game, we can start fixing certain elements of our game.
“When teams start playing low block, very ugly football because that is what they play ugly football, long ball, ball in behind you don’t pick up the second ball, and you get one chance you score but that’s football you better deal with that.”
