TS Galaxy and Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership clash at Mbombela Stadium.
With three games remaining for Galaxy, the Rockets have a chance to finish in the CAF Confederation Cup spot. Sead Ramovic’s men have also all but secured a finish in the top eight for the first time in the club’s existence.
However, Galaxy haven’t won a league match in the last four games and has three consecutive draws, including the one against Kaizer Chiefs.
Pirates missed a chance last weekend to go second on the league table after losing to Richards Bay, which was only their second loss in 2024.
The Sea Robbers will have to beat Galaxy or at least draw and hope that Stellies lose against Mamelodi Sundowns, if they are to go second on the log.
Jose Riveiro’s side are the highest goal-scoring team in 2024 after netting over 40 goals in 16 games. Pirates are sitting third with 49 points, seven points clear of fourth-placed Sekhukhune United.
Galaxy and Pirates battled against each other seven times. Galaxy won two, while Pirates won four and one match ended with a 1-1 draw.
