Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi was impressed with Siphesihle Ndlovu’s performance in Kaizer Chiefs’ 1-0 win over Polokwane City on Wednesday.
Ndlovu who joined Chiefs at the start of the season came off the bench to score the only goal of the game to give Amakhosi their second successive league win this campaign.
They are one of four sides that have a perfect record so far and sit in second position on the Betway Premiership log with six points.
Vilakazi believes Ndlovu is a hard worker and hopes he is given a chance in central midfield because he has the ability to make everyone play.
“I hope he just continues to work hard because I think he had a very decent season with SuperSport United,” said Tso on iDiski TV.
“Hopefully he’s going to continue where he left from SuperSport. Now he just scored a goal, I hope they will give him a chance in that central midfield.
“Ndlovu is that player that can connect and we saw him at SuperSport, he can connect with the defence, get the ball there, turn and make the midfielders play.
“But I think at Chiefs they prefer a [Sibongiseni] Mthethwa, somebody that is going to sit in front of the defence, not someone that will play and make everyone play. Maybe it will work for Ndlovu in that position.”
