Lamontville Golden Arrows defender Sicelo Hlatshwayo has been discharged from hospital.
Hlatshwayo was admitted to hospital last week Tuesday morning after he collided with a teammate during their training session. The defender was reported to have been in ICU for a few hours before he woke up.
This publication contacted the club to get a comment regarding the incident and received the following response: “We can’t talk about this now; the club will communicate in due course.” But no communication has been forthcoming since then.
An update received stated that Hlatshwayo was discharged on Monday from hospital. It is not clear when he will return to training.
The versatile defender is yet to play this season as he has been troubled by injuries.
He has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates as well. But the KwaZulu Natal-based club hopes to keep him until the end of the season.
Arrows have lost their five matches in all competitions and failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven matches. They now sit seventh in the DStv Premiership league table with 20 points after 13 matches.
