Kaizer Chiefs captain Zitha Kwinika has weighed in on the heated confrontation that occurred between two of his teammates Inacio Miguel and Sibongiseni Mthethwa in the midweek game.
The incident took place during Amakhosi’s 1-1 draw against Marumo Gallants in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday at FNB Stadium.
Within the 90 minutes, the two teammates were seen nearly coming to blows during their harsh exchange.
Kwinika, sharing his thoughts, says the confrontation stemmed from a positive place, asserting that the players were arguing over what was best for the club’s success.
“I think me as a leader, I might have missed that, but I saw two teammates fighting for a good reason,” said Kwinika.
“It’s a misunderstanding in that, whoever trying to pass the message that to say come let’s do what’s right, what’s important for the team.
“It’s not a confrontation in a bad way but it’s a constructive one for us to get to the goal that we want to achieve because in whatever that happened, it means one of the two didn’t stick to the plan cause whatever we do, there’s a plan.
“If probably one misses, we call the other one to say we’re supposed to do it this way. It had nothing in a bad way but positive to get the team together and keep going.”
