AmaZulu FC head coach Arthur Zwane admits that he faces a daunting task after the exit of Vusumuzi Vilakazi but believes the current remaining coaches have what it takes to carry on.
Some shocking news earlier this week came from AmaZulu when this publication broke the story of Vilakazi stepping down as the co-coach of the club barely five months in charge, leaving Zwane as the sole head coach.
The news came as a surprise, especially since AmaZulu has been doing impressively well in the league following a disastrous start to the season.
They find themselves in sixth position with 26 points after 19 games and Zwane identified the Vilakazi exit as a big loss but trusts the remaining technical members to carry on with the good work that ‘Kanu’ has done.
“Losing one of our important members is always gonna be critical for any organisation at the end of the day; we have to move on and carry on with work. He played a huge role; he did very well,” Zwane told the media.
“We all know coach Kanu; he has been coaching and has been in the mix for quite some time. The good thing is that, not the good thing that he has left what I am trying to say he has left something behind in terms of understanding.

“We worked together very well; we were on the same boat in terms of what we wanted to achieve for the club, but the good thing also is having someone like coach Mini.
“Vilakazi as well who is equal to the task, so I think in that department we are still covered in terms of the manpower, now is to focus more on the games.”
