How To Watch Downs & Banyana Live

Mamelodi Sundowns will be in action in the CAF Champions League last eight, while Banyana Banyana will be playing in the Olympic qualifiers today, and this is how you can watch those games.

Sundowns will host Young Africans in the second leg of their quarter-final clash at Loftus Stadium this evening, with the aggregate scoreline currently 0-0.

It means Masandawana need a home win, while another goalless draw would take the tie to penalties – any scoring draw or away win would be enough for Yanga to secure an upset.

For those unable to attend in Tshwane, the match, which kicks off at 8pm, it will be shown live on SABC3, as well as streamed on SABC’s digital platforms.

Meanwhile, Banyana will meet the Super Falcons at the MKO Abiola Stadium in their key first leg of the final 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.

The clash of the titans was originally said to be shown on SABC’s digital platforms and shown live on SABC+.

However, Banyana have since backtracked on their earlier statement that the match will be shown on SABC+ and SAFA have this afternoon confirmed that they couldn’t get the feed for the game.

“The South African Football Association (SAFA) wishes to communicate that the away first leg Olympic qualifier between Banyana Banyana and the Super Facons of Nigeria in Abuja on Friday afternoon will not be broadcast live on the SABC.

“We were not able to (secure) the feed from the host broadcaster in Nigeria on a reciprocal basis that would have been shared with our partner in South Africa, the SABC. This means the match cannot be broadcast in South Africa as we rely on agreements that our hosts have, if and when they broadcast their matches and share our broadcast feed when we host our matches.

“We will endeavor to share our home feed with Nigeria when we host them on Tuesday 9th April 2024.”
