‘I Don’t Know How Chiefs Reached The Final’
An Al Ahly legend has insisted Saturday’s CAF Champions League final was easy for the Egyptian giants and questioned how Kaizer Chiefs even reached the final.
The ‘Club of the Century’ secured their 10th CAF Champions League trophy in what many in Egypt consider one of their easiest finals.
Former Al Ahly and Egypt midfielder Ahmed Hassan has joined the sentiment, questioning Chiefs credentials, saying there was no doubt they would eventually find a breakthrough.
“Al Ahly respect all the teams they play against, but I don’t know how Kaizer Chiefs could reach the final, they have very limited resources,” he told ONTime Sports
“With Al Ahly possessing the ball, we had no doubt that they will score eventually.”
“Al Ahly win came after a lot of hard work, the final was easy, but the journey to the final was very difficult.”
Al Ahly will return to domestic football on Thursday night already when they will face the National Bank of Egypt in one of their four catch-up games in the league.
Mosimane’s men currently sit 10 points behind rivals Zamalek with four matches in hand.
