Kabuscorp SPC coach Roberto Bianchi felt his team were the better side in the first half in their CAF Confederation Cup defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.
Amakhosi beat the Angolan side 5-4 on penalties after drawing the tie level with a 1-0 home victory after 90 minutes at FNB Stadium.
After the match, Bianchi insisted his side were better in the first half of the match but had to open up in the second interval.
“Firstly I’d like to congratulate Kaizer Chiefs on the victory,” he said post match.
“We had a terrific first half. I think it had to play around with the mindset of the young players, that’s why it came out like that.
“We were better in the first half. The second half was more open, we tried to change the tactics, which gave us an open game.
“We’ve played with three defenders at the back and three forward to pressure the ball in front, Kaizer Chiefs didn’t have many opportunities in the first half.
“The game went to penalty and we know penalties are like lotto and Kaizer Chiefs were better than us.”
