AmaZulu captain Makhehleni Makhaula feels their CAF Champions League group is very tight but Usuthu feel suitably prepared for any challenge.
Usuthu will be representing South Africa in Africa’s elite club competition as they were drawn in group B with Raja Atheltic Club, Horoya AC and the Algerian club ES Setif.
He believes that the technical team will prepare them well, and they will do their homework to face the more illustrious teams in the group.
“I have seen our group it’s a really tough group, but I think our technical team will prepare us nice and strong,” Makhaula told the club’s media department.
“We are playing against the two teams that are from North Africa. It’s going to be a good experience for us, and it’s going to be good for South African football and for the people of KZN, our supporters and all the people of KZN.
“It’s really a difficult group. But we are going there to compete, we are not going there to add numbers.”
The 32-year-old has racked up 50 appearances for Usuthu and was nominated for the 2020/21 PSL Midfielder of the Season since his arrival from Highlands Park in October last year.
