MC Alger and Orlando Pirates have named their starting line-ups ahead of this evening’s CAF Champions League quarterfinal first leg encounter at the 5 July 1962 Stadium.
The Buccaneers had an impressive group stage campaign to book their spot in the quarterfinals for the first time since 2013 by topping Group C in style, winning four matches with two draws.

Their opponents finished second in Group A just a point below Al Hilal after losing just one group stage, drawing three and winning two matches in their campaign so far.
Though he has admitted that they are starting to dream of getting a second star on the club’s crest, head coach Jose Riveiro is also aware of the daunting task that lies ahead after overcoming a difficult group stage.
“We succeeded in obtaining 14 points and did not lose; we passed a difficult stage in the group stage,” he said, according to SuperSport.com.
“We still have a more difficult stage in the quarter-finals, so it is difficult to judge the title holder.”
