‘Mosimane Can Coach In Europe’

A former Tottenham Hotspur defender has insisted that European clubs should look at Pitso Mosimane after his massive amount of success in Africa.

The South African coach has become the first African to win the CAF Champions League for a third time after Al Ahly defeated Kaizer Chiefs in Saturday’s final.

‘Jingles’ already lifted the trophy with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016 and has now won it back-to-back with Al Ahly in 2020 in 2021.

His success hasn’t gone unnoticed, as former Spurs and Switzerland defender was full of praise for the South African.

“European clubs can look in Africa to find new coaching talents. Mosimane for example has many talents and can work in Europe,” Vega told Al Ahly TV.

Vega also insisted that some of Al Ahly’s players could move to Europe’s major leagues and the ‘Club of the Century’ have a good chance at FIFA Club World Cup in December.

“Al Ahly have top quality players that can play in major European leagues and I predict some of them will,” he added.

“Al Ahly can get a good place in the next FIFA Club World Cup. They are a team that can achieve a lot.”

Al Ahly finished third at the 2020 Club World Cup but Mosimane has revealed that it is one of his aims to lift the trophy in future.
