Pyramids FC head coach Jamie Pacheco has hit back amid speculation that he will be sacked at the club.
Pacheco is currently on a four-game winless run, which saw them lose top spot in the Egyptian Premier League to ZED FC and fall in danger of missing out of the knockout stages of the CAF Champions League.
Pitso Mosimane and Carlos Quieroz have now been linked with his job and in the build-up to their league clash against Ceramica Cleopatra, he’s lashed out at media who questioned his future with the ambitious club.
“This is a question that should not be asked from a person who understands football. He may be hired and work for the clubs that are against us and are trying to destroy our work,” Pacheco said, as per Filgoal.
“I respect everyone and therefore I must be treated with respect. The question in this form about my dismissal after the loss is an attack and carries a kind of belittlement, and the press conference has no place or correct timing.
“This was not the first time I was asked this question. It was asked last year.”
