Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Morena Ramoreboli says they will respect Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League 2nd preliminary round next month.
Galaxy advanced to the CAFCL 2nd preliminary round after a dramatic 6-5 win on penalties following a 1-0 victory in regular time.
The Botswana champions will face Pirates for the second successive time in the CAFCL preliminary round after knocking the Buccaneers out last season.
Ramoreboli was recently heavily linked with a move to Sekhukhune United but the deal collapsed in the final stages of negotiations. The Free State-born mentor remained coy regarding the clash against the Pirates and emphasized that they would give them respect.
“Orlando Pirates again… Another tough encounter, I know that they were here to watch as well. To be honest with you there’s nothing much to say about Orlando Pirates. They are a big team, we give them the same respect as we did in the last encounter. We know that it will be another difficult match,” Ramoreboli told the media after the match.
The first leg of 2nd preliminary round is expected to be played between 13th and 15th September with Galaxy starting at home. The second leg will be played in Orlando Stadium between 20th and 22nd September.
