Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro heaped huge praise on his international contingency of players at his disposal after sealing passage to the CAF Champions League group stage.
The Buccaneers overcame Jwaneng Galaxy 1-0 in their second leg encounter eSgodini for a group stage qualification in five years courtesy of a 93rd minute winner from Monnapule Saleng.

Thalente Mbatha, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Relebohile Mofokeng came off the bench to control the match to preserve their 2-0 lead from their first leg clash in Botswana, with the Spanish mentor commending his charges for a workmanlike and disciplined performance against the hardworking Galaxy outfit.
“We have an interesting group there,” Riveiro told reporters after the match in Orlando.
“Group of young and talented players – bunch of winners!
“They want to continue improving and winning, and again having the continuity to playing in this type of tournament – the African Champions League.
“An interesting tournament against quality opponents and tough games, so every pinch of experience will come.
“And our players going to the national team, playing in AFCON. It’s something that we can always capitalize as a club, as a group.
“The talent is there; the quality is there. We only need to keep going and accumulate experiences together and the future will be fine,” Riveiro added.
