Rulani Mokwena has announced his starting XI to face TP Mazembe in today’s CAF Champions League match day two encounter.
Masandawana will take on Mazembe at Stade TP Mazembe at 15:00 on Saturday, both sides will be looking to get three points especially Mazembe, after a disappointing result in the Egypt a week ago.
Mazembe opened their group match against CAF Champions League debutants Pyramids of Egypt and they lost by 2-1.
Meanwhile, Sundowns started the campaign on a good foot, beating Mauritanian champions FC Nouadhibou 3-0 at Loftus Stadium in a very hot afternoon.
Mokwena’s men are fired up, after clinching the African Football League title a month ago and pocketing over R70 million.
The 2016 CAF Champions League winners are coming into this game as favourites after dominating African football lately. Mazembe is a well-known Africa powerhouse but they’ve been underperforming in the past few seasons.
These two sides have faced each other five times since 2015. Sundowns have won four times and Mazembe only won once. There’s never been a draw between the two sides.
