Last season’s semi-finalists Mamelodi Sundowns kick off their Group B 2024/25 CAF Champions League campaign with a tricky home tie against Congolese outfit AS Maniema Union on Tuesday, 26 November.
The two sides will once again renew their rivalry having faced off in 2021. The first fixture ended in a pulsating 2-2 draw in Congo before Sundowns switched into gear winning the return leg 2-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Manqoba Mnqithi’s charges then take the trip up north to Morocco where they will lock horns with ASFAR Club on the weekend of 6-8 December before ending 2024 with a home tie against Raja Club Athletic on the weekend of 13-15 December on matchday three.
The 2016 champions then get 2025 underway with a trip to Raja on the weekend of 3-5 January before heading to Congo for the return leg against Maniema on the weekend of 10-12 January.
Matchday six on the weekend of 17-19 January will see Sundowns hosting ASFAR at home to conclude the group stages.
