Kaizer Chiefs and Al-Masry have announced their starting line-ups for the mouthwatering clash at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon.
Following an early Nedbank Cup exit, Chiefs have a chance to secure their spot in the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final this afternoon, but they will need to beat the Egyptian side Al-Masry by 1-0 or by a two-goal margin.
Scoring two goals for Chiefs has been difficult over the past two months, as they last scored more than two goals in November during their league game against Orbit College.
Amakhosi managed two wins in the CAFCC; both came against the Zambian side Zesco United, which has eliminated in the competition.
While Al-Masry understands that a draw would put them at an advantage going into the last game against Zesco United in Egypt after the Egyptian side won the last time these two sides faced each other 2-1.
However, Chiefs haven’t lost a home game in the CAFCC and have only drawn once, which was against Zamalek SC.
Here are their line-ups:
Chiefs XI: Petersen, McCarthy, Msimango, Kwinika, Solomons, Ndlovu, Maboe, Shabalala, Mmodi, Lilepo, Da Silva
Subs: CAF Confederation Cup: Group D: Kaizer Chiefs vs. Al Masry SC
