Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC have found out who they will face in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
Amakhosi qualified after lifting the Nedbank Cup, while Stellies booked their spot after finishing third in the Betway Premiership last season.
Steve Barker’s side went all the way to the semi-final last campaign, eliminating defending the champions Zamalek along the way. They will again be keen on a long CAF run, as will Chiefs, who return to Africa for the first time since reaching the CAF Champions League final in 2022.
Chiefs will face Kaburscop Palanka from Angola in the first preliminary round from Angola. If Chiefs’ reach the second preliminary round, they will meet the winner between RD Congo (Congo representative yet to be confirmed) and Djabal FC (Comoros).
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch were excempted from the first preliminary round and will take on the winner between Foresters FC (Seychelles) and Agosto (Equatorial Guinea) in the second preliminary round.
The first preliminary round will take place on 19 and 29 September, while the second preliminary round will be played on 17 and 26 October.
