Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi says they are prepared ahead of their match against Al-Ittihad in the CAF Confederations Cup, saying they’ll respect the Libyan giants.
The South African giants are on top of group B after a good start of group stages journey as they beat JS Saoura 2-0 at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday.
Ncikazi, though, is confident his charges will secure the three points to expand the gap on the table, and also promised that they will give their best and won’t undermine Al-Ittihad.
“We have seen the analysis of the team, very good team, we’ve seen the stream, they are leading the stream, they have perfect individual players,” Ncikazi told reporters ahead of the match.
“A very good team, hard to beat, but we’re here to get a result as Orlando Pirates so that we can go to the quarterfinals. But it’s not going to be an easy match.
“Is not much different, North Africans (teams), they’re almost similar, very energetic, very technical. They are almost similar, although the quality within this team looks more, they look like a more team that is better than Saoura.
“But we are prepared for them, Etihad looks very different, number 19 a good striker from them. The one who plays on the left, the left-winger. So, we just have to prepare for a game that we are not sure, but we just have to play a very cautious game and try to get the results.”
The clash between the two giants is scheduled to take place later today at 18:00, at Martyrs of February Stadium, Libya.
