Official: Simba Appoint New Head Coach

Simba SC have confirmed the appointment of former Getafe boss Pablo Franco Martin as their new head coach.

Martin succeeds Frenchman Didier Gomes who parted ways with the club last month via mutual consent after being dumped out of the CAF Champions League by Jwaneng Galaxy.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Rhulani Mokwena and Milutin Sredojević were amongst a host of names linked with the hot seat but the club opted for the former Real Madrid assistant coach.

The Spaniard was in talks earlier this year with Marumo Gallants but rejected the offer to become their first head coach after their rebranding from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

The UEFA Pro License holding coach will now be tasked to retain the Vodafone Premier League title and challenge for the CAF Confederation Cup title.
