Orlando Pirates have announced their starting XI to face MSC Diables Noirs in today’s CAF Confederations Cup League clash.
The Sea Robbers have qualified for the tournament after securing the third position in the DStv Premiership last season.
The Soweto giants were knocked out of the competition by eventual winners Raja Casablanca in the quarter-finals last season, losing 5-1 on aggregate.
They will now kick-start their journey in the African competition away from home against the Congo-Brazzaville side at Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat Stadium at 16:30.
The teams will be meeting for the first time in their history, both looking to reach the group stages of the competition.
Pirates, though, will be without Vincent Pule after the club confirmed he picked up Grade III quad injury during international duty with Bafana Bafana.
Goodman Mosele did not make the starting XI, neither the bench, with the club yet to comment on his situation after he didn’t pitch up to his Bafana Bafana call-up.
Here is how they line up:
Pirates XI: Mpontshane, Jele, Sam, Mako, Mngonyama, Mabaso, Makaringe, Ndlovu, Shandu, Dlamini, Mabasa
Diables Noirs XI: tbc.
