The 2025 Carling Black Label Cup was launched alongside the Carling Knockout Cup this Monday, with the R100 000 prize money for the Man of the Match and the Champion Coach returning.
As in the last two years, the winners of the Carling Knockout – played out by all 16 PSL teams – will face a team of PSL stars and DStv Diski Challenge players in the Carling Black Label Cup.

The match is scheduled for 13 December, with fans again set to vote for their heroes. In the first two editions, the Carling All Stars, both times coached by Jose Riveiro, beat the winners of the Carling Knockout – Stellenbosch FC in 2023 and Magesi FC in 2024.
The Champion Coach returns, with one football lover being given the chance to coach the Carling All Stars, which are again voted for by the fans.
This year’s innovations:
- Carling All Stars is voted for solely by the fans. Starting XI consists of six PSL players and five DDC players.
- Man of the Match in the Carling Knockout will be voted for by fans, R100 000 given as prize.
- FakiGoal Uzobona: R90 000 for every 90 minutes, drops by R1000 for every minute not scored. If a goal is scored in fifth minute, R85 000 are up for grabs.
