Huge Blow For Galaxy Ahead Of CKO Semis

TS Galaxy will miss their captain Mlungusi Mbunjana in the Carling Knockout semifinal against AmaZulu FC.

The Rockets reached their second semifinal in clubs’ history after eliminating Mamelodi Sundowns in the round of 16 via penalties before knocking out Sekhukhune United also via penalties.

Galaxy last reached this stage of the cup competition in 2019 in the Nedbank Cup and they ended up winning the cup defeating Kaizer Chiefs in the final at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

If they are to make it to the final this around they will have to do it without their main man Mbunjana. The Bafana Bafana international received his fourth yellow card of the season in a 3-1 win against Polokwane City.

“I think the preparations have gone well, we are trying to prepare as best as possible to be ready for the game. I think everything is going well so far,” Mbujana said this week.

The 33-year-old walked away with an amount of R100K after he was voted as Man Of The Match in a win against Downs. He played every match so far in the season.
