Kaizer Chiefs caretaker coach Cedric Kaze has insisted questions about his future as well as the rest of the technical team should be directed at the club’s management.
Chiefs started the season like a house on fire, winning four league games in a row. But suddenly things changed a day after Amakhosi lost 3-1 to Sekhukhune United when rumours surfaced that Nabi could leave the club.

The club then announced that the Tunisian mentor won’t be coaching Amakhosi for the coming games as the head coach was suspended, and there hasn’t been any official update since.
The duo of Kaze and Ben Youssef took over and since then Chiefs have won one game which was against the Angolan side Kabuscorp SCD in the CAF Confederation Cup. In the league they played two 1-1 draws against Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu FC before they were eliminated from the Carling Knockout Cup via penalties by Stellenbosch FC.
When Kaze was asked about their future at the club as co-coaches, he stated that the question should be directed to the management but for now they are still Chiefs coaches.
“I believe that’s a question that should be directed to the management and from this time we are the coaches of Kaizer Chiefs and until further notice or [until] something else decided by the management, I’m pretty sure they will let everyone know,” Kaze told the media.
Chiefs return to action on 18 October when they will face DR Congo side AS Simba in the CAF Confederation Cup.
