Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has confirmed that he is set to meet Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos following an exchange of words between the two.
There two coaches seem to be at loggerheads after Broos expressed his dissatisfaction at the continued exclusion of Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau at the club, something Broos feels could lead to the duo losing their Bafana spots.
Mngqithi hit back at Broos suggesting that the Belgian mentor should instead worry about his national team affairs and not tell him which players he should or should not select.
The Masandawana mentor has now admitted that a meeting between and Broos is in the pipeline as they try and find common ground.
“With regards to Coach Broos, my utterances and his utterances, we will be having a meeting tomorrow,” Mnqithi told the media after their Carling Knockout Cup progression.
“We will move forward and create a better environment because he’s got a lot of our players. We support the national team and probably we support SAFA junior national team because it has a lot of players.
“So, it is only proper for us as coaches or as leaders of these institutions to try and find each other and be able to communicate about those things.
“I think it’s only for the coach because you might find that there are other players he might not have looked at them very closely.”

“But when we communicate, and he gets to know how I feel about those individuals, it makes his life easy.
“Because I believe he’s got a big pool of players that he can get from our club, from [Orlando] Pirates from [Kaizer] Chiefs, from SuperSport [United] and all these other clubs.
“But without good relations between the coaches, it makes it very difficult to even assist where we think we can assist,” he added.
