Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has pointed at Relebohile Mofokeng as a key figure who could help the club win the league title.
The French-Moroccan tactician was speaking following Mofokeng’s crucial extra-time goal in the Carling Knockout Cup final against Marumo Gallants on Saturday.

The Pirates gaffer was asked about a dip in form that Mofokeng had in the early stages of the campaign before his injury layoff. Ouaddou explained that the midfielder had been fatigued but has since bounced back strongly after a little rest.
In his last five appearances, Mofokeng has contributed a goal and two assists.
With renewed energy, Ouaddou believes the 21-year-old has the ability to make a significant impact as Pirates push for the Betway Premiership title. The club currently sits atop the league with 28 points after 12 matches.
“The president [Yama2K] is very important for us in our team,” said Ouaddou in the post-match press conference.
“I love him, I love his style of play. He’s a very good guy. Top human being, he’s someone who loves football, he dreams about football. I think 24 hours, he feels football.
“I cannot say much about his form in the beginning of the season. He played many games with the national team and didn’t have lot of time to rest. Even the season before he played 40 or 45 games, he’s not robot.
“I can understand that he was a bit tired, we gave him some rest, and he came back with a very good fitness. The last four games we played, he was part of our success.
“You can see a fit Rele Mofokeng and a Rele that is tired. If he’s 70% fit, he can help the team. I cannot imagine if he’s 100%. If he’s 100%, the president is someone who can make us win the title.”
