The CKO Last Four Sides Deserve Respect – Ramovic

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic says all the teams that have qualified for the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup deserve respect, as any of them can win it.

Ramovic’s side booked the last semi-final spot in the cup after defeating Sekhukhune United 4-2 on penalties after their quarter-final tie ended goalless in Polokwane on Saturday evening.

They joined Richards Bay, AmaZulu and Stellenbosch FC in the semi-finals. With the big sides eliminated, Ramovic was asked if he fancied his side to go all the way and he said though won’t count the Rockets out, but he is still giving all the other semi-finalists the respect they deserve.

“Since I’m here, we want to win every game, if it’s a cup or a league,” said Ramovic.

“But of course, if there is opportunity here then of course we will try our best but we also know that many [of] teams still in the competition they are also great and fantastic.

“Even if somebody thinks Orlando is out, Sundowns is out, Chiefs is out, we have to give every team the biggest respect they are still in this kind of competition.

“Again, against every team we play is a very hard team because the league is tough to play too. We have to prepare ourselves very hard and God will decide what will be the end.

“But from our side everything that we can control we will do our best, we will prepare ourselves, we will be motivated, we will work hard to make the dream of course come true.

“To win a cup will also be a fantastic thing but all in all we have a lot of competitions. We want to be in the top 8 spot, we want to win the Nedbank Cup and of course if the opportunity is here we can win the Black Label Cup. It will be just great and unbelievable.”

The semi-final draw is scheduled for Monday 6 November in Johannesburg.
