Orlando Pirates and Siwelele FC will battle it out in a top-of-the-table DStv Diski Challenge clash, while Mamelodi Sundowns travel to Rustenburg to face ORBIT College.
Following shock results last week, where Lamontville Golden Arrows defeated Pirates 2-1, ending their nine-match unbeaten run, the Buccaneers aim to bounce back and maintain their first position in the league table.
Siwelele is also on a good run, having won four consecutive matches, and currently sits in third place, three points behind Pirates.
The league title might be out of sight for defending champions Kaizer Chiefs, who are 16 points behind league leaders Pirates. Amakhosi have won only one game in their last seven matches, while Arrows are in ninth place after winning five of their last seven matches.
On Sunday, Sundowns will go into the clash against Orbit College knowing what needs to be done. Sundowns has won six of their last seven matches and are currently level on points with Pirates. Mswenko Boyz, on the other hand, are punching above their weight in their debut season, currently sitting in seventh place with 30 points after 22 games.
The race is not only in the league; even the Golden Boot race is heating up, with Sundowns striker Bennet Mokoena leading with 16 goals, followed by four players on 12 goals: Siwelele winger Manelis Mazibuko, Marumo Gallants striker Matthew Marou, Stellenbosch FC striker Tauric Gamildien, and Chippa United midfielder Asanele Bonani.
